Free public information evenings on heart failure to take place in Limerick and Waterford next month

Following on from the highly popular heart failure patient information evenings which took place in Cork and Athlone earlier this month, the Irish Heart Foundation is delighted to announce that it will be organising two more free patient events in June.

The heart failure public information evenings will take place on Thursday 06th June in the Strand Hotel in Limerick and Thursday the 20th of June in the Woodlands Hotel in Waterford city.

Both evenings, which are free to attend, will feature a number of informative talks and practical tips and advice from local medical, nursing and other healthcare specialists in heart failure.

The Limerick and Waterford events are part of a series of free public information meetings being held across the country as part of the Irish Heart Foundation’s campaign entitled ‘Don’t Ignore the Signs of Heart Failure’,

Similar events were held in Cork and Athlone earlier this month and they proved highly popular with a large number of attendees.

The heart failure public information evenings will take place on Thursday, 06th June in Limerick and Thursday, 20th June in Waterford.

Supported by Novartis, the Irish Heart Foundation’s campaign aims to raise awareness of the warning signs of heart failure.

A recent survey carried out on behalf of the Irish Heart Foundation by Ipsos MRBI revealed that there is a low level of understanding of heart failure in Ireland and the ‘Don’t ignore the signs of Heart Failure’ campaign aims to improve this.
