Supports for Carers

You are not on your own.

Becoming a carer for someone affected by stroke or heart disease is an enormous undertaking – physically, mentally and emotionally. Taking care of your own mental and physical health is important so that you can best manage the demands of life as a carer.

If you are a carer of someone affected by heart disease or stroke, the Irish Heart Foundation offers supports to help you, including a Facebook group and our Nurse Support Line.

Carers’ Support Network

You are not alone. Our Carers’ Support Network Facebook group is a strong community of carers who offer each other advice, information and support. Group activities include free online exercise classes, information talks, health advice and peer-to-peer support. Sign up now.
