Dr Deirdre Lundy, Clinical Lead for the specialist menopause service at the National Maternity Hospital in Dublin will join a panel of experts for the Irish Heart Foundation’s Let Talk Menopause webinar on World Heart Day – Thursday the 29th of September next.
The event will be chaired by psychotherapist, Founder of Insight Matters, and journalist Dil Wickremasinghe and will also include, Allison Keating, Chartered Psychologist and Author, Orna O’Brien, Registered Dietitian with the Irish Heart Foundation, and expert by experience Melanie Enright who suffered a significant heart attack last year.
The webinar marks the culmination of the Irish Heart Foundation’s hugely successful Her Heart Matters campaign which ran for the month of September.
The Her Heart Matters campaign highlighted that 1 in 4 women die from heart disease and stroke yet research has shown that heart disease in women has been under-researched, under-diagnosed, and under-treated for far too long.
Supported by the HSE and Healthy Ireland the ‘Her Heart Matters’ campaign aims to increase awareness of the risk of heart disease and stroke in women and the fact that this risk increases as women enter menopause.
Register for free here to attend the Her Heart Matters Let’s Talk About Menopause webinar on Thursday the 29th of September from 12.30 to 1. 45pm.
Irish Sign Language interpretation will be available at the event.
