Heartsaver AED and Cardiac First Response (CFR) Community Course
The Cardiac First Response Community Course is the required standard of training for any group wishing to link to the National Ambulance Service as a Cardiac First Responder Group
The Heartsaver AED and CFR Community Course, includes the Heartsaver CPR AED Course as its basis with an additional CFR Community module.
Use of the Heartsaver CPR AED Course as part of a CFR Community Course is recommended for lay people. The additional CFR portion of the course includes:
- Stroke assessment (FAST Assessment)
- Heart attack and the administration of aspirin
- Patient Handover and CFR report
- Infection Control
- Post event issues (critical incident stress awareness and debrief)
- Team resuscitation
Successful participants will receive an IHF/AHA Heartsaver CPR AED and an IHF/PHECC CFR Community course completion card, both of which are valid for two years.
