The Irish Heart Foundation is proud to announce a special exhibition of artworks created by members of its arts initiative, ‘A Stroke of HeART’, taking place at Tallaght Library in Dublin as part of Culture Night 2025.
‘A Stroke of HeART’ is a unique programme run by the charity which is designed to support stroke survivors on their journey of recovery. Centred around creative therapy, the initiative encourages participants to explore artistic expression as a way to help improve physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being following a stroke.
By providing a platform for stroke survivors to share their creativity, the programme fosters a holistic approach to rehabilitation, promoting a nurturing and supportive environment for individuals rebuilding their lives after stroke.
Visit Tallaght Library to experience the inspiring work of ‘A Stroke of HeART’ and celebrate the creativity and talent of our stroke survivors.
The exhibition will be on view from the 18th to the 22nd of September. Library opening hours are Monday to Thursday 9:45am to 8:00pm, and Friday to Saturday 9:45am to 4:30pm
Other support programmes provided by the Irish Heart Foundation are stroke support groups, including one in Tallaght. The group is an opportunity for stroke survivors to get together and share their experiences, listen to talks from external speakers, take part in various activities including supervised exercise as well as enjoy a cup of tea/coffee and a chat.
Join us on World Thrombosis Day October 13th at 12pm for this online event.
