It's Cardiac Rehab! Podcast

Welcome to the ‘It’s Cardiac Rehab!’ podcast

‘It’s Cardiac Rehab!’ is a six episode podcast series on cardiac rehabilitation.

Cardiac Rehabilitation aims to improve physical and emotional health and quality of life for patients following a cardiac event.

The podcast has been developed in partnership between the Irish Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation (IACR) and the Irish Heart Foundation with support from Servier Laboratories (Ireland) Ltd.

“It’s Cardiac Rehab!” brings together people working in cardiac rehabilitation, clinicians and patients who themselves have taken part in a cardiac rehabilitation programme. People like author Michael Harding, who shares his experience of suffering a heart attack and its aftermath.

Discussions will cover a variety of topics including exercise, medication, healthy eating, and the psychological impact of living with heart disease. It is hosted by Anthony Burrows of Servier Laboratories Ireland.

The series is aimed at anyone who has had a cardiac event, such as a heart attack, coronary artery stenting or coronary artery bypass surgery, to help them understand more about cardiac rehabilitation and what it involves.

New episodes will be added on a weekly basis.
