Children’s heart health is an essential ingredient in a long healthy life, and you play a pivotal role in making this happen.
Our goal as the Irish Heart Foundation’s goal is to empower, defend and care for heart health in Ireland. The risk of heart disease and stroke can be reduced by up to 80% through adopting positive lifestyle behaviors which means that building heart healthy habits from a young age can have a huge impact on children’s lifelong health.
We hope you find our free primary school resources useful, such as the Let’s Get Active 4-week challenge, Bizzy Breaks movement and mindfulness and Action for Life for PE & SPHE) and see the benefits of your pupils building heart healthy habits for life.
The Irish Heart Foundation is almost entirely funded by public donations, which enable us to provide the fantastic supports and programmes used by schools around Ireland, as well as support and information services for those affected by heart disease and stroke.
