CPR Courses for the General Public

Someone collapses in front of you, in your home, or in your work. Will you be ready? We’ll make sure you are.

These courses are suitable for the general public and are appropriate for anyone who may not have any experience of performing CPR. They follow a video based, practice-while watching format and an instructor will be there to guide you and help you to learn how to perform high quality CPR.

These courses include lots of time for you to practice on a manikin so by the end of the course you should be confident you’ll know how to provide CPR in an emergency.

If you have any injuries or medical issues that you may be concerned about please discuss them with the course coordinator prior to attending the course as you will be required to complete all elements including the practical skills assessments in order to receive a course completion card (where one is available for the course).

Please have a look through the following courses suitable for the general public below to discover which course might suit you best.

Family & Friends CPR Course

We all rely on our friends and family, but could they rely on you if they suddenly collapsed? Now’s your chance to make sure your unit of friends and family are prepared to save a life. It could even be your life.

The Family & Friends CPR course teaches you the lifesaving skills of CPR but as there are no skills assessments involved, there is no course completion card issued. This makes it an ideal course for anyone that wants to learn CPR but who doesn’t require a course completion card.

The course follows a practice while watching video format and is led by instructors who will provide feedback and guide you through the lessons and help improve your CPR technique as you practice on a manikin. The atmosphere of the class is relaxed to help promote a positive and enjoyable learning experience and this course is ideal for community groups, new parents, grandparents and anyone interested in learning the basic skills involved in CPR.
