As a champion of Irish charities and community organisations, The Wheel facilitates networking across its 2,300 members, as well as the provision of practical information tailored to the needs of people working and volunteering in such organisations. They focus on public policy and campaigning to promote the interests of its members, through work in advocacy, influencing, media engagement and research.
As a longstanding member of The Wheel, the Irish Heart Foundation has benefited from its support and guidance over the years and is proud to be represented by Janis Morrissey on the Board. Her expertise and extensive experience after more than two decades in the Irish Heart Foundation will be invaluable to The Wheel in helping deliver their vision and mission. She will be a valuable asset on The Wheel’s Board of Directors.

Janis is joining the organisation’s Board of Directors alongside Caitriona Freir, Education and Training Manager at Dublin Rape Crisis Centre.
The Board of Directors is responsible for governance and overseeing The Wheel’s strategic direction. All of the Board members are volunteers, giving their time, skills and expertise to help advance the organisation’s mission.
