More than 1 in 3 people in Ireland are unaware that prolonged sitting doubles the risk of heart disease and stroke.Sign up
People who sit for more than 8 hours a day, double their risk of developing heart disease compared to those who sit for less than 4 hours a day.
A new survey carried out by the Irish Heart Foundation revealed that 59 per cent of people were not given the opportunity to sit less during the day.
