Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) provider Course is designed for healthcare providers who direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies.

Through active participation and  instruction in simulated cases this course will upskill healthcare professionals’ knowledge of  the treatment of cardiopulmonary arrest, acute arrhythmias and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).

Before the course participants must study the ACLS provider manual, complete the self-assessment modules on the student website and   remediate any  gaps in their knowledge by studying the content in the ACLS Provider Manual or supplementary resources.

This course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasising the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. It highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). At the end of the course, students will participate in Megacode evaluation station to validate their knowledge on the course objectives. A simulated cardiac arrest scenario will evaluate the following:

Successful participant will receive an IHF/AHA ACLS Provider course completion card which is valid for two years.
