Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider Course

The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) provider Course is designed for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the management off cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This course through active participation & instruction in simulated cases, will upskill the healthcare professionals’ knowledge base in the treatment of cardiopulmonary arrest, acute arrhythmias, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).

Before the course it is necessary to study the ACLS Provider Manual, complete the self-assessment modules on the student website & identify any gaps in your knowledge & remediate those gaps by studying the content in the ACLS Provider Manual or supplementary resources.

This course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasising the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. It highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). This course includes practice learning stations & Megacode evaluation station. The practice learning stations give students the opportunity to actively participate in a variety of learning both individual & being part of a team activities including:

At the end of the course, students will participate in Megacode evaluation station to validate their knowledge on the course objectives. A simulated cardiac arrest scenario will evaluate the following:

Students who successfully complete all components of the course will receive an IHF/AHA ACLS Provider course completion card that is valid for 2 years.
