The Irish Heart Foundation’s CPR for Family and Friends Course, is an ideal and simple way to learn CPR.
The CPR for Family and Friends course teaches the lifesaving skills of CPR but as there is no skills assessment involved, the course does not come with a completion card This makes it an ideal course for anyone that wants to learn CPR but who doesn’t require a course completion card.
The course follows a practice-while-watching video format and is led by instructors who provide feedback and guidance on CPR CPR using a manikin. The relaxed atmosphere of the class helps promote a positive and enjoyable learning experience. This course is ideal for community groups, new parents, grandparents or anyone interested in learning basic CPR.
The course can be delivered in different modules which can be taught altogether or separately and include:
Adult Hands-Only CPR, use of AED and choking – approx. 40 mins
Child Hands-Only CPR, use of AED and choking – approx. 30 mins
Infant Hands-Only CPR and choking – approx. 20 mins
