The Happy Heart Healthy Eating Award is a unique health promotion programme created by the Irish Heart Foundation in the mid-1990s. We have continuously developed the programme over the past 25+ years with the support of the HSE. Role description
We wish to engage a dietitian for sessional work on this programme. The successful candidate will carry out catering audits in staff restaurants with the aim of enabling the restaurants to provide and promote healthy options to staff. During the onsite visit, he/she will also provide general advice and support to workplaces that are implementing the health promotion programme.
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will be required to work in primarily the Connacht area for approximately 1 day/month, although the location and frequency may vary. Full training will be provided, in advance of work commencing and on an ongoing basis. It is expected that the individual would commit to at least one year with the Foundation, following completion of initial training.
