The Irish Heart Foundation’s Mobile Health Unit is travelling around communities in Ireland with trained nurses providing FREE blood pressure checks, and comprehensive lifestyle advice on heart health.
The response to the Mobile Unit from the community has been great.
In provided a great talking point when it pulled up at the entrance to the LexIcon library in Dunlaoghaire Co Dublin on 5th February 2018. People wanted to know more and as it was a very cold day, enjoyed chatting to each other in the van. There was a constant stream of people of all ages, from those in their 20s to many older members of the community who had heard about it or were out for a walk and spotted the Unit.
“We were delighted to have the mobile health unit as part of our Healthy Ireland series of events and we would love to have it again.”
