Graiguenamanagh Library, Co Kilkenny.

The Irish Heart Foundation’s Mobile Health Unit is travelling around communities in Ireland with trained nurses providing FREE blood pressure checks, and comprehensive lifestyle advice on heart health.

The response to the Mobile Unit from the community has been great.

The Unit pulled up beside Graiguenamanagh Library in Co Kilkenny on the 18th of February, 2018 and the staff at the library said they welcomed the opportunity to provide the service to our community. It was a very busy day on the unit with a lot of people taking the opportunity to have their free checks and lifestyle advice. Everyone involved agreed there was a great atmosphere all day particularly when local celebrity chef Edward Hayden sat in the hot seat to have his blood pressure checked.

“The Irish Heart Foundation mobile unit is a service I would have back again without hesitation.”

Majella Byrne, Branch Manager, Graiguenamanagh Library.
