Our ‘Farmers Have Hearts’ programme, supported by the HSE, provides FREE one-to-one health checks in marts across the country.

For many farmers, making time to go to the doctor is one of those things that is too often pushed down the list because of so many other pulls on their time. That is why the Irish Heart Foundation nurses come to you!

Why do I – or someone I know – need a health check?

Nearly 80% of farmers who have attended our ‘Farmers Have Hearts’ health checks at local marts were identified with risk factors for heart disease and stroke; and were advised to see their family doctor. Many of these farmers hadn’t visited their family doctor in years.
