Pioneer 100 Charity Cycle was brought to life for the first time in 2015 by two Pioneer Investment colleagues, Andy Richmond and Daniel McGuinness.
Andy’s dad received a heart transplant in 2014, his treatment and aftercare were funded by the Irish Heart and he made a full recovery.
Andy wanted to give something back and decided to organise a 100km cycle challenge in aid of Irish Heart, 12 colleagues participated raising €1,250.
In 2016 Andy was delighted that 26 members of the Pioneer team took on the challenge, raising almost €5,000 (including Pioneer Charity Committee Matching).
This year the cycle took place in June and has raised €3,500, bringing the Pioneer’s total contribution to over €10,000.
We are thrilled that the Pioneer 100 Charity Cycle has turned into an annual event raising vital funds for Irish Heart.
