Working in partnership in the fight against heart disease and stroke – it works!
Corporate partnerships are vital in helping us to beat heart disease. Heart disease touches us all, including your staff and customers. You can help show your commitment to beating heart disease and stroke by choosing to support Irish Heart.
From raising awareness to raising funds, corporate partnerships are vital to helping us fight heart disease and stroke all over Ireland.
We work with all sorts of companies to help to make a real difference to the lives of thousands of vulnerable men, women and children who are living with heart disease and stroke. Our corporate team will work with you to ensure we are meeting your objectives.
And the timing couldn’t be more vital, new research has revealed a 26% increase in the proportion of strokes among people under 65 – this is the equivalent of over 300 extra strokes among people of working age in Ireland every year. Working age people are now accounting for 1 in 4 of all strokes, and men account for over two-thirds of these younger stroke cases.
So let’s take action together to help turn the tide. Please contact our corporate development team to find out how your company can get involved, and how you can make a big difference to your employees lives and to those all over Ireland.
Charity of the Year for big-hearted companies
Nominate the Irish Heart Foundation as your charity of the year and demonstrate to your employees, customers and potential clients, your company’s commitment and compassion for an issue that affects lives every day. We are looking for companies of all types and sizes to kindly make us their charity of the year. Together we can tailor a programme of support that will work for you and your company.
The many benefits to a partnership with the Irish Heart Foundation include:
Sponsorship to win hearts and minds
We organise major awareness campaigns and special fundraising events throughout the year, such as our Happy Hearts Appeal and Act FAST stroke awareness campaign. These campaigns provide national media reach and build positive awareness of your brand. We are experienced in delivering flexible sponsorship packages to suit your brand values and budget. We make it as easy and strive to make sure your brand gets the recognition it deserves.
We will help you to generate a programme of meaningful and engaging fundraising activities, volunteer opportunities and activity that will motivate employees to help us to beat cardiovascular disease and stroke. Whether you have worked with a charity before or not, there’s something for everyone to get involved in.
Trust and mutual benefits
Let our liked and trusted brand help yours! It’s called ‘Cause Related Marketing’. This is a commercial activity that sees a business and a charity form a partnership in order to market a product or service for a mutual benefit. In other words, it’s a relationship where we both get to benefit. Not to mention all the lives affected by heart disease and stroke that you’ll also be helping to improve.
Genuinely improves sales
A highly-regarded Cone research report, “Cause Evolution,” showed that 83% of people “wish more of the products, services and retailers they use would support causes”; 81% said they want companies to give them the opportunity to “buy a cause-related product”; and 80 percent said they’d be “likely to switch brands, about equal in price and quality, to one that supports a cause.
Or to put it simply, people nowadays are buying more than a product or a service – they’re buying the emotion that comes with it. And when you link with a charity like the Irish Heart, there’s no greater feel good factor than knowing you’re not only getting a great product you’re also making a great impact on people’s lives.
Feels great and does great
This type of partnership builds brand loyalty, increases company sales and shows a commitment to a very worthwhile cause: a cause like the Irish Heart which they themselves may need to use someday or may already have. A cause that could save their life. Or a family member’s.
Payroll giving is a very convenient way for companies and their employees to feel good knowing that they give regularly – and with minimum action or effort required on their part. Giving in this way provides a reliable source of income to our charity for one year or more. It’s truly crucial to us and to all the people we help. And it’s something we like our partners to know that matters greatly to us. So thank you.
McCormack Farms is just one of our partners we’d like to tell you about this time.
The Irish Heart Foundation are delighted to be working with McCormack Farms. McCormack Farms decided to donate a percentage of sales from every Loose and Lively range of spinaches and kale between now and the end of their year. It’s another great excuse to get your 5 a day in! You can try out some of their delicious ‘recipeasy‘ ideas of juices and poached eggs – all using fresh fruit and vegetables to keep your heart healthy!
And it just goes to show how working with the Irish Heart can truly make your company and your customers feel good.
