Dr Angie Brown

Board Director Dr Angie Brown (FRCPI, MD, MRCP, BSC, MB Bchir) is the Medical Director of the Irish Heart Foundation and works as a Consultant Cardiologist at Bons Secours Hospital, Hermitage Clinic and Beacon Hospital.

Dr Brown obtained her Medical Degree from Cambridge University and did her Cardiology training in Kings College Hospital London.

After completing an MD from Cambridge University assessing platelet physiology she moved to Ireland working first in Beaumont Hospital and then St James’s Hospital before taking up her role as Medical Director of IHF.

Dr Brown also has a special interest in imaging, particularly echocardiography and is a strong advocate for tobacco control and prevention.
