Download1 in 4 women die from heart disease and stroke and yet heart disease and stroke in women is under-researched, under-diagnosed and under-treated.
Menopause can be a very challenging time, with up to 40 symptoms including hot flushes, night sweats anxiety and insomnia. These symptoms interfere with normal daily activities for 78 per cent of women. Women’s risk of heart disease and stroke also increases significantly after menopause.
The good news is 80 per cent of premature heart disease and stroke is preventable through changes to our lifestyle. We want to support you and all the women in your life to look after your heart, especially around menopause.
